چکیده

A simple scheme is proposed for handling nonlinear equality constraints in the context of a previously introduced sequential quadratic programming (SQP) algorithm for inequality constrained problems, generating iterates satisfying the constraints. The key is an idea due to Mayne and Polak (Math. Progr., vol. 11, pp. 67{80, 1976) by which nonlinear equality constraints are treated as \"-type constraints to be satissed by all iterates, thus precluding any positive value, and an exact penalty term is added to the objective function, thus penalizing negative values. Mayne and Polak obtain a suitable value of the penalty parameter by iterative adjustments based on a test involving estimates of the KKT multipliers. We argue that the SQP framework allows for a more eeective estimation of these multipliers, and we provide convergence analysis of the resulting algorithm. Numerical results, obtained with the cfsqp code, are reported.

A NEW APPROACH FOR SOLVING FULLY FUZZY QUADRATIC PROGRAMMING PROBLEMS

Quadratic programming (QP) is an optimization problem wherein one minimizes (or maximizes) a quadratic function of a finite number of decision variable subject to a finite number of linear inequality and/ or equality constraints. In this paper, a quadratic programming problem (FFQP) is considered in which all cost coefficients, constraints coefficients, and right hand side are characterized by ...

A Recurrent Neural Network for Solving Complex-Valued Quadratic Programming Problems with Equality Constraints

A recurrent neural network is presented for solving systems of quadratic programming problems with equality constraints involving complex-valued coefficients. The proposed recurrent neural network is asymptotically stable and able to generate optimal solutions to quadratic programs with equality constraints. An opamp based analogue circuit realization of the recurrent neural network is describe...

An iterative method for tri-level quadratic fractional programming problems using fuzzy goal programming approach

Tri-level optimization problems are optimization problems with three nested hierarchical structures, where in most cases conflicting objectives are set at each level of hierarchy. Such problems are common in management, engineering designs and in decision making situations in general, and are known to be strongly NP-hard. Existing solution methods lack universality in solving these types of pro...

Interactive multiple objective programming in optimization of the fully fuzzy quadratic programming problems

In this paper, a quadratic programming (FFQP) problem is considered in which all of the cost coefficients, constraints coefficients, and right hand side of the constraints are characterized by L-R fuzzy numbers. Through this paper, the concept of α- level of fuzzy numbers for the objective function, and the order relations on the fuzzy numbers for the constraints are considered.  To optimize th...
